Business Development Executive

Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow business within the oil & gas sector.
- Identify new business leads and opportunities with contractors, EPC companies, and end-users in upstream, midstream, and downstream segments.
- Prepare and deliver sales proposals, presentations, and product demonstrations.
- Meet sales targets and drive revenue growth in assigned territories and market segments.
Client Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts and decision-makers.
- Provide product consultation and support to clients based on industry needs.
- Monitor customer feedback and coordinate solutions with internal departments (technical & after-sales teams).
Market Research & Strategy
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and potential market opportunities.
- Develop sales forecasts, reports, and pipeline updates for management review.
- Participate in industry trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events to build brand presence.
Product Knowledge & Support
- Understand Makita's product range, features, and applications relevant to the oil & gas sector.
- Work closely with product specialists and technical teams to support solution proposals.
- Provide product training to customers when required.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field.
- Knowledge or certification in oil & gas industry is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of sales or business development experience, preferably in oil & gas or industrial equipment/tools industry.
- Experience selling industrial tools, equipment, or technical solutions preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of oil & gas sector operations and procurement processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong business sense and proactive approach.
- Able to travel and work independently with minimum supervision.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems.
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: RM3, RM4,000.00 per month
