Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Regional Accountant to oversee and support the Accounting & Finance functions of our assigned branches. This role is ideal for individuals with strong technical expertise in financial reporting, auditing, and consolidation, who thrive in a fast-paced environment and excel in meeting tight reporting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and manage the overall Accounting & Finance function for assigned branches.
  • Prepare Consolidation Packages for branches and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Prepare and submit monthly reports to HQ in a timely manner.
  • Liaise and coordinate with auditors, company secretary, and banks for relevant matters.
  • Support in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Perform affiliate accounting checks for assigned branches. (Moderate overseas travel to branches for affiliate checking)
  • Handle all Accounts & Finance matters, including expansion projects.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACCA / CIMA (fully or partly qualified – finalist with relevant experience) are an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in Accounting / Finance.
  • Strong knowledge of Financial Reporting and Auditing.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent command of English (oral and written); proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Demonstrates responsibility, integrity, independence, teamwork, urgency, time management, and leadership qualities.
  • Ability to command the respect of senior management and work under pressure.
  • Preferably Senior Executives specializing in Finance and Audit.

System / Software Proficiency:

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Must be proficient in Google Workspace tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Gmail, etc.).
  • Must have hands-on experience with Accounting ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with emerging software trends and AI-powered tools (e.g., ChatGPT, automation applications) will be an added advantage to improve efficiency in financial analysis, reporting, and process automation.
