Senior PLC Programmer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Familiar with the design process in the non-standard industry, capable of independently completing electrical reviews and design tasks.
  • Proficient in the selection of electrical standard components, with in-depth knowledge of the principles and applications of mainstream brands for medium and low-voltage switches, various sensors, servo and stepper systems, and frequency converters.
  • Skilled in programming and debugging PLCs from mainstream brands as well as in programming and debugging human-machine interfaces (HMI) and upper computer systems.
  • Possess basic understanding and practical experience with industrial robots (Fanuc, ABB, etc.) and industrial vision systems.
  • Demonstrated interest and willingness to invest effort in these areas, with training platforms for robotics and vision provided by the company.
  • Capable of completing various tasks assigned by leaders.

Project Execution & Commissioning

  • Lead the programming, debugging, and testing of PLC systems.
  • Perform Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT).
  • Oversee installation, calibration, and commissioning of automation equipment at client sites.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety requirements, and customer specifications.

Leadership & Mentorship

  • Guide and mentor junior PLC programmers/technicians.
  • Conduct training sessions on PLC programming and best practices.
  • Review and approve control system designs and software prepared by team members.
  • Assist in troubleshooting issues and offer guidance on best practices.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work directly with clients to understand process requirements.
  • Provide technical advice, recommendations, and solutions to customers.
  • Ensure projects meet deadlines, budget, and quality standards.

Requirements:

  1. Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field.
  2. Minimum 4 years of experience in PLC programming / Automation systems.
  3. Able to work independently on design, programming, and on-site commissioning.
  4. Good communication, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  5. Willing to travel locally or overseas for project support when required.
