DBA Specialist

Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Database Administrator (DBA) with hands-on expertise across multiple database platforms, including Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, DB2, Yugabyte, and MariaDB

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain robust database solutions across multiple RDBMS platforms.
• Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot databases to ensure performance, reliability, and availability.
• Develop and execute backup and recovery strategies to prevent data loss and ensure business continuity.
• Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and storage management.
• Implement database security controls including access control, encryption, and auditing.
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate database solutions into application stacks.
• Create and maintain documentation related to database configurations, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct root cause analysis of database-related issues and implement preventive measures.
• Support database upgrades, patching, and migration activities.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in database administration
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, or Python) is a plus
• Proven experience with Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, DB2, Yugabyte, and MariaDB
• Proficient in implementing high availability, clustering, replication, and failover solutions
• Experience with database recovery tools, backup technologies, and disaster recovery planning
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and managed database services is a plus
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
