Job Title: Medical Assistant

Department: Clinic / Outpatient Services

Reports To: Medical Officer / Clinic Manager

Location: Remedine Clinic, TTDI

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant is responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the clinic. The role includes assisting doctors during consultations, performing basic medical procedures, managing patient records, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist doctors during patient examinations, minor procedures, and treatments.
  • Record and update patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant data.
  • Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.
  • Administer medications and injections as instructed by the doctor.
  • Collect samples (e.g., blood, urine) for laboratory tests when required.
  • Ensure cleanliness and readiness of the consultation and treatment rooms.
  • Manage patient appointments, registration, and follow-up scheduling.
  • Maintain proper documentation and ensure confidentiality of medical records.
  • Monitor stock levels of medical supplies and assist with inventory control.
  • Support health screening programs and preventive care activities.
  • Adhere to infection control, safety, and clinic operational protocols at all times.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Medical Assistant or equivalent qualification recognized by the Malaysian Medical Assistant Board (LJM).
  • Registered with the Medical Assistant Board (LJM) with a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
  • Minimum 1 year of working experience in a clinic or hospital setting (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willing to work on shifts, weekends, or public holidays if required.
