Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Finance Manager with a strong background in retail and e-commerce finance to oversee financial planning, reporting, operations, and compliance. This role is key to managing financial operations and supporting the company's expansion. The ideal candidate will bring deep industry knowledge, strong analytical skills, and the ability to develop financial structures that can thrive in a fast-paced retail and e-commerce environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning & Analysis

  • Develop financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts to drive retail and e-commerce growth.
  • Monitor key financial metrics, including sales performance and profit margins.
  • Provide financial analysis and actionable insights to support strategic business decisions.
  • Review operating expenses and cost of goods sold (COGS) to identify cost control and optimization opportunities.
  • Assess gross and net profit margins to evaluate overall business profitability.

Financial Management & Accounting Operations

  • Oversee and manage the full set of accounts for Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong entities, ensuring compliance with local financial regulations and tax requirements.
  • Supervise daily operations and resolve escalated issues related to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, banking transactions, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely preparation of financial statements, management reports, and statutory filings.
  • Lead the annual stocktake process and collaborate with relevant departments to ensure accurate stock records.
  • Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting to optimize financial performance.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Oversee and review petty cash payments, staff claims, and cash advance processing.

Consolidation

  • Consolidate financial data across multiple entities and business segments for accurate group reporting.
  • Perform intercompany eliminations and adjustments to reconcile balances.
  • Analyze consolidated financial performance to identify trends and provide strategic insights to management.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.

Compliance & Taxation

  • Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and external stakeholders for audits and financial reviews.
  • Address audit issues and finalize statutory accounts based on external auditor recommendations.

Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement

  • Streamline financial processes and reporting systems for greater accuracy and efficiency.
  • Implement best practices and automation tools to improve productivity and reduce manual work.

Business Expansion & Financial Process Development

  • Design and implement financial templates, workflows, and reconciliation processes to support new business models and expansion initiatives.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM10,000.00 per month
