Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Evaluate and assess the adequacy of internal controls to manage the overall risks associated with the business activities;
  • Plan, prepare and execute the audit coverage and detailed audit programs to evaluate, test and validate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls implemented as well as assess Business Units (BU) / Support Units (SU) compliance with relevant policies, procedures, regulations and guidelines;
  • Perform follow-up audits to ensure prompt implementation and/or closure of audit recommendations and findings;
  • Assist in performing special audit investigations and forensic audits as necessary;
  • Ensure sufficient facts/data/information are obtained and gathered to support comments relating to any control weaknesses found during an audit;
  • Discuss results of audits with respective operational heads;
  • Promptly escalate any major findings involving wrongdoings or frauds uncovered or suspected during an audit;
  • Liaise with BU/SU on audit matters and provide recommendations for improvements to the system of internal controls;
  • Prepare work papers and draft audit reports for timely presentation to Team Leads and/or Head of Department for review and approval.

To be eligible for this role, you will require:

  • University degree in Accountancy/Business/or equivalent from recognized tertiary institutions with a minimum of 3 years' working experience with exposure to financial services industry including related processes/controls.
  • Strong verbal communication and writing skills in English.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability with domain knowledge in financial services environment is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent microsoft skill (MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and conduct hands-on fieldwork.
  • Able to travel.
