JOB SUMMARY:

A hotel carpenter job description includes maintaining, repairing, and constructing wooden fixtures and furniture within the hotel, such as doors, windows, cabinets, and tables. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Repair and maintenance: Conduct general repairs and maintenance on wooden structures, furniture, and fixtures, such doors, windows, and locks.
• Installation: Install new items, including furniture, mirrors, artwork, and fittings.
• Construction: Build or assemble custom wooden items, such as cabinets, counters, and benches.
• Safety and cleanliness: Follow all safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with guests, management, and other staff members.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Technical skills: Proficient with basic carpentry tools and the ability to read technical drawings or blueprints.
• Manual dexterity: Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for detailed work.
• Physical fitness: Good physical condition and endurance, as the job can be physically demanding.
• Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience: Previous experience in carpentry, often in a hospitality or similar environment, is beneficial.
