EHS Technician

Job Description:

EHS Technician is responsible to support EHS Leader in implementing the organization's environmental, health, safety and continuous improvement programs to ensure a safe workplace, regulatory compliance and efficient operations that support business growth.

Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety management programs to ensure compliance with local Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulatory requirements, Department of Environment (DOE) regulations, and company policies.

Assist in developing and maintaining emergency response plans, conduct drills, and provide training to ensure a safe and prepared work environment.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a safety culture and provide guidance on best practices.

Assist in investigating incidents, accidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

Perform routine safety walkabouts to identify hazards and unsafe conditions.

Participate in continuous improvement projects through High Performance Team to improve inspection process effectiveness, detection and efficiency.

Perform 5S

Perform other tasks, as assigned by immediate manager.

Others task as per related to EHS processes

Skills and qualifications

Minimum Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health or related area with min. 2 years working experience in EH&S preferably in conducting training, assessment, observation and EHS campaign. (Fresh graduates are welcome)

Computer literate. Familiar with Microsoft Office, good in Microsoft Excel.

Knowledge in Microsoft 365 application is an added advantage.

Meticulous, well planned and organized.

Able to read, write and converse in English.

Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.

Able to work independently, with minimal supervision.

Willing to work extra hours and on shifts (if required).

10.  OSH Coordinator certificate is an added advantage.

Report to EHS Leader.
