Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Reporting
- Coordinate, manage and support monthly consolidation close activities for timeliness, accuracy, and completeness
- Preparation of quarterly statutory reports for announcement to Bursa Malaysia.
- Oversee annual statutory accounts preparation, including Basel II Pillar 3 disclosures with close liaison with our external auditor.
- Prepare and compile financial data and analysis for submission to Bank Negara Malaysia.
- Perform annual review and maintain financial reporting Standard Operating Procedures, Policies and Guidelines and ensure proper implementation of internal control.
- Participate in the preparation of the Bank's Annual Report.
Financial Analysis
- Provide commentaries/ analysis of financial performance and variances for monthly, quarterly and yearly reports.
- Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required by management, including restructuring, other strategic initiatives, MFRS related initiatives, etc.
- Assist to review overseas entities financial reports and to provide the necessary regional support.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Financial Reporting Standards, company policies and related statutory/tax requirements.
Jobholder Requirements:
Requirements
- Malaysian citizen.
Education/Qualification
- Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
- Professional Certifications such as CPA,ACA, ACCA, ICAEW, CIMA, MIA is a plus.
Experience
- 8 years and above relevant working experience; experience in auditing financial services and /or banking industry will be an added advantage
- Advanced Excel, Words and PowerPoint. Knowledge in accounting software such as Oracle FCCS is an added advantage.
- Extensive knowledge in BNM guidelines, Bursa requirements, accounting standards (MFRS/IFRS) and Companies Act in Malaysia.
- Commercial acumen, an enquiring mind and being able to co-relate market and financial dynamics is a plus.
