About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead the culinary operations of our upcoming hotel project in Pudu, Kuala Lumpur (official hotel name to be announced soon). This position offers the opportunity to be part of the pre-opening team and to shape the kitchen operations from the ground up.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, solid experience in hotel or large-scale F&B environments, and a proven ability to maintain high culinary standards while managing cost and efficiency.
This vacancy is a pre-screening process, project will estimate to start between January 2026 to February 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the overall kitchen operations including menu planning, food production, and kitchen management.
- Recruit, train, and mentor the kitchen team to deliver consistent quality and presentation standards.
- Develop standard recipes and ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Work closely with the F&B Manager and Management to plan for the hotel's pre-opening preparations.
- Manage kitchen budgets, cost control, and inventory effectively.
- Drive creativity and innovation in menu design and food presentation.
- Work closely with the Group Executive Chef and Management to implement menu changes, cost controls, and operational improvements.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Head Chef / Executive Chef / Sous Chef role in a hotel or high-volume F&B establishment.
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food cost management, and staff training.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Creative and passionate about culinary trends and presentation.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively during the hotel's pre-opening phase.
- Willing to travel within Pudu, Kuala Lumpur.
