We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Legal Contract Managers to join our team based in Malaysia. In these roles, you will be responsible for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts with global and domestic suppliers and partners. You will provide legal support to Singtel's IT, Networks, and Property teams in Singapore while acting as a strategic partner to these business units to resolve their legal needs. These positions require strong commercial acumen and legal expertise, as well as the ability to manage complex legal and operational challenges.
Both roles involve managing and negotiating contracts across various procurement, partnership, and operational agreements. You will work closely with business units to provide comprehensive legal advice, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with company policies. As a senior legal professional, you will have the opportunity to lead strategic initiatives and collaborate across different teams while ensuring the smooth execution of business contracts and legal frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate procurement, partnership, and other contracts with suppliers and partners.
Legal Advice: Proactively advise on legal, commercial, and operational risks in contracts, ensuring alignment with Singtel's policies and business goals.
Collaboration: Work closely with business lines, stakeholders, and the Singapore Legal team to provide pragmatic and effective legal solutions.
Documentation & Compliance: Ensure contracts are well-documented, with processes in place to maintain organizational memory and compliance with internal policies.
Risk Mitigation: Identify legal and commercial risks and develop strategies to address them, ensuring smooth contract execution and business operations.
Skills for Success:
- Education: Degree in Law and admitted to practice in Malaysia, Singapore, or the UK.
Experience:
Legal Contract Manager: Minimum of 5 years' PQE as an in-house lawyer or in a reputable commercial law firm.
Senior Legal Contract Manager: Minimum of 7 years' PQE with similar experience.
Skills: Strong legal analysis, contract drafting expertise, and a good understanding of corporate and contract law.
Dynamic & Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet critical deadlines while managing multiple contracts.
Collaboration: Strong team player with the ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team to meet business objectives.
