RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Kitchen Operations Management: Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring all food preparation and service activities run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Food Preparation & Cooking: Lead in preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes according to company standards, recipes, and menu requirements.
  • Supervision & Staff Coordination: Supervise kitchen staff, assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety standards.
  • Menu Planning & Development: Support the Head Chef in planning menus, developing new dishes, conducting food tastings, and ensuring menu consistency.
  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, portioning, and presentation for all dishes leaving the kitchen.
  • Inventory & Cost Control: Assist in managing inventory levels, monitoring usage, reducing wastage, and ensuring cost-efficient operations.
  • Compliance & Food Safety: Ensure the kitchen complies with JAKIM (HALAL), KKM, and local regulatory requirements, and conduct regular hygiene and safety checks.
  • Training & Development of Staff: Train new kitchen staff, provide coaching, develop skill levels, and help maintain a positive and productive kitchen environment.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Minimum diploma certificate. Can read and write.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in F & B
  • Preferably with exposure to Malay and Western cooking techniques.
  • Ability to work under pressure, especially during high-volume periods.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards.
  • Willing to work 6 days per week.
  • Possess own transport.
  • Able to start on a short notice will be an added advantage.
