Job Summary

The Production Line Leader is responsible for managing the daily operations of an assigned production line. This includes leading a team of operators, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining quality and safety standards, and supporting continuous improvement efforts. The Line Leader plays a key role in ensuring that products are packed, labeled, and produced according to customer specifications and company SOPs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Line Operations

  • Execute daily production tasks as per the production schedule.
  • Set up the line and ensure all materials, equipment, and manpower are ready for production.
  • Monitor line performance (output, efficiency, downtime) and escalate issues promptly.

2. Team Supervision

  • Lead and motivate line operators to achieve shift targets and maintain discipline.
  • Provide on-the-job training to new or existing operators.
  • Assign tasks and ensure fair workload distribution across the team.

3. Quality Control

  • Ensure all products meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Perform in-line quality checks (e.g. weight, sealing, labeling) and report defects.
  • Immediately report any non-conformance or contamination issues to the supervisor.

4. Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all team members follow safety guidelines, PPE usage, and GMP practices.
  • Stop the line in case of unsafe operations or product quality issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S standard).

5. Reporting & Documentation

  • Complete daily production logs, output reports, and material usage records accurately.
  • Report machine breakdowns, downtime, and manpower issues to the supervisor.
  • Record batch numbers and support traceability documentation.

6. Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and suggest improvements for line efficiency or workflow.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions when required.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum SPM or equivalent; technical or vocational certificate preferred.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • Experience in leading a small team is an added advantage.
  • Familiar with basic machine operation and safety procedures.
  • Able to work on rotating shifts and in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2, RM2,500.00 per month
