Job Description:

  1. Set up and operate CNC lathes with live tools and turn-mill configurations

  2. Interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T specifications

  3. Perform tool selection, offsets, and adjustments to maintain tight tolerances

  4. Conduct in-process inspections and ensure parts meet quality standards

  5. Optimize machining parameters for cycle time and tool life

  6. Collaborate with engineering and QA teams to resolve machining issues

  7. Cross train machine operator and lead a small team.

  8. Document setups and contribute to process standardization

Skills:

  1. Experience with multi-axis CNC machines (e.g., 5-axis, turn-mill)

  2. Knowledge of CAM software (SolidCAM, Mastercam, Fusion 360)

  3. Experience using a tool pre-setter for efficient setup and tool management

  4. Background in semiconductor or aerospace component manufacturing

  5. Experience in dealing with precision component with tight tolerances

  6. Exposure to lean manufacturing practices
