Executive Summary

Advanced Process Engineer is responsible to provide technical assistance to the production department to assure maximum efficiency of the plant within the quality, safety, and environmental standards. He/she must assure the plant reliability by daily monitoring the plant. He/she also must come out with quality & reliability improvement plan, execute & come out with report. He/she is expected to lead project/s for production department and provide his process inputs to other parties.

He/she must assure the plant reliability by daily monitoring the plant. He/she also must come out with quality & reliability improvement plan, execute & come out with report. He/she is expected to lead project/s for production department and provide his process inputs to other parties. Implement plant modifications to improve HSES, capability or cost base, to take charge and lead all plant trials, to take charge and lead trouble-shooting group for major plant problems, to lead and manage small capital projects, raise work orders on the SAP for the area of work, to stop contractors and employees from working if safety rules or procedures are not observed.

Responsibilities

· Confirms and verifies the accuracy of plant information data

· Keeps up to date records of SPC data

· Documents all plant troubleshooting and problem-solving activities

· Ensures housekeeping is maintained

· Assume responsibility for rectifying quality problems and recurring process bottlenecks

· Maybe assigned as a competent person to lead/monitor the operations of waste treatment and wastewater quality

· Comply to relevant quality, environment, health & safety management systems requirement established at site

Qualifications

General

· Documents all plant troubleshooting and problem-solving activities.

· Ensures housekeeping is maintained.

· Assume responsibility for rectifying quality problems and recurring process bottlenecks.

Educational

Degree in Chemical Engineering or in Mechanical Engineering.

Computer Skills

Able to demonstrate general knowledge of PC's and experience in DCS control system is desirable.

Language

Fluency, both written and verbal, in English and Malay. Able to express business and technical needs to English-speaking support people. He/she must be able to participate in a business discussion and represent the interests of the Kuantan site.

Communication Skills

Able to express ideas effectively in both individual and group situations. In addition, he/she should be able to organize and express ideas clearly in written documents. In both situations, the Advanced Process Engineer should be able to adjust his language and terminology to the needs of the audience. He/she should be able to listen to and understand customer needs. In addition, he/she should be able to anticipate customer needs and give a high priority to customer satisfaction.

Experience

A minimum 3 years work experience in manufacturing environment. Project management and supervisory experience is desirable. In some occasion, fresh graduate may be considered.
