POSITION OVERVIEW:

Are you an experienced product strategist with a strong background in the medical device industry and a track record in SEA/APAC markets? Alcon is seeking a
Product Manager – Export Markets
to drive business growth across 9 high-potential countries with a combined population of over 700 million.

Based in Malaysia, this role is critical to shaping the product strategy, portfolio management, and market execution in diverse and dynamic export markets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead product lifecycle management and execute strategic marketing plans that align with regional business goals.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics across each country to inform product positioning and market segmentation.
  • Collaborate with distributor teams to implement product strategies and support commercial execution.
  • Act as a key interface between local distributor markets and internal regional/global marketing teams.
  • Monitor product performance and identify opportunities to optimize portfolio and drive growth.
  • Navigate the unique regulatory, customer, and competitive environments across Rest of SEA markets with agility and insight.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • 8-10 years' experience in marketing preferably in related medical devices industries
  • Experience in product management within the medical device industry is strongly preferred.
  • Strong commercial acumen and proven experience working across SEA/APAC markets.
  • Ability to manage distributor relationships and influence across non-direct markets.
  • Strategic and analytical mindset with hands-on execution capability.
  • Excellent communication skills and cross-functional collaboration experience.
  • Willingness to travel within the region.
