Nature and Scope

The job holder will be handling Pasir Gudang PG Operation, in the safest manner according to Air Products standards, procedures, regulations and best practices. He/She has to plan for daily production, executes any modification for continuous improvement, performs housekeeping, monitors customer complaints, ensures that production meet KPI, maintains healthy stock level and buffer stock. Additional to this, he/she must reports near misses and incidents in a timely manner and well verse in trouble shooting plant upsets and machinery breakdown in a macroscopic level. Also, to ensure that coaching and counseling are done for his/her direct reports and operators.

He/She requires to manage his/ her team members and works closely with the other team members in the product supply chain. The incumbent leads, coaches, trains and motivates his/her team in production, quality control and in operational and technical direction.

He must have high standard of safety and environmental awareness. A team player with effective communication skills and customer oriented. He shall demonstrate an on-going willingness to learn by keeping abreast of new developments in gases and chemical industries and is expected to perform under pressure and maintain good attendance and housekeeping practices.

He/She must assist in implementing EHS Program in Basic Safety Process, job safety analysis, near miss report and adaptive preventive techniques for the department to achieve Safety KPI.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• To supervise overall production processes including plant operation , refilling , cylinders maintenance , plant maintenance, cylinder sorting, storage and general works within the plant including product quality and schedule
• To monitor the production processes for filling or handling urgent order requests
• To ensure products are delivered on schedule
• To ensure those items that constitutes as change in the plant is approved via EMOC
• To ensure records such as eMOCs, SOPs, calibration records, plant operating logs, permits, licenses etc are accurate, updated, kept according to the record retention period.
• To ensure plant preventive maintenances are carried out and regular assessment are done.
• To be accountable for plant KPIs – Inventory Record Accuracy (IRA), Liquid Losses, Customer Complaints and Operating Cost
• Be responsible for the department administrative function including team's overtime, leaves, claims, trainings etc
• To supervise, train and motivate plant personnel on proper plant operations
• To follow all the ISO procedures and responsible for SAP transactions related to good receive, good issue, cycle counting or other inventory-related activities.
• To assist internal & external audit and to comply to all the operating procedures.
• Play an active part in the CI saving targets
• Maintain a high level of Environmental, Health and Safety and Productivity aspects of the operation
• To ensure that all safety plans (BSP, APSAM, EHSIP, etc) are done on a timely manner.
• To ensure all plant personnel, suppliers, contractors, and visitors adhere to Air Products Safety policies and procedures when they are in the plant premises
• To ensure that all tasks in Compliance Management for the plant are closed in a timely manner
• To advise, implement and improvise the operations and safety aspects of equipment
• To conduct monthly safety meeting.
• To perform other duties as directed by superiors.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma/ Degree in Engineering Discipline
• Preferably 3 years' experience in supervisory position
• Strong leadership skills, highly motivated, mature and willing to work long hours.
• Good communication skills, good verbal and written English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Basic MS Windows and Office/Excel
• Familiar with SAP ERP system
