We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Production Admin Officer to support quarry operations. This role involves managing daily administrative tasks and ensuring full compliance with Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) regulations under DOSH, DOE, and JMG requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Safety & Health

  • Audit facility practices that follow OSHWA (Occupational Safety and Health in the Workplace) requirements.
  • Manage all aspects of Safety and Health on a day-to-day basis.
  • Conduct Safety Training for workers regularly.
  • Ensure the quarry complies with the laws and legislations of the country.
  • Plan, manage, and administer the Safety and Occupational Health Program.
  • Follow up on HIRARC (Hazards Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control) and ensure it remains suitable for workplace conditions.
  • Report and investigate incidents to determine causes and implement preventive measures.
  • Follow up on recommendations from CHRA (Chemical Health Risk Assessment).
  • Follow up on recommendations from NRA (Noise Risk Assessment).
  • Conduct hostel inspections once a week.
  • Inspect the production line, including railways, guarding, cover belts, conveyors, and other related areas.
  • Monitor oil traps to ensure they are in good condition and free from leaks.
  • Check signboards throughout the quarry, including those at the quarry face.
  • Monitor and remove any substances that affect the road (e.g., old tires, branches, etc.).
  • Update silt trap maintenance records and take readings of Total Suspended Solid (TSS) and turbidity in accordance with JMG and DOE regulations.
  • Ensure all workers wear appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for their specific work areas.
  • Check dust control systems such as sprinklers to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Check chemical labels once a week.
  • Monitor and update SOP (Safe Operating Procedure) and SWP (Safe Work Procedure) as necessary.
  • Inspect warning signs at the store and ensure oils and materials are properly arranged inside.
  • Control and manage all Safety and Health documentation.

Environment

  • Environmental Compliance & Regulatory Requirements
  • Ensure quarry operations comply with local, state, and national environmental laws, permits, and regulations.
  • Liaise with government agencies (DOE) for inspections, permits, and reporting.
  • Prepare and submit statutory reports (Scheduled Waste Reports).
  • Conduct EIA 1-18 and EIA 2-18 inspections regularly.
  • Implement and supervise erosion and sediment control measures such as silt traps, drainage, and slope protection.
  • Maintain records of monitoring data and analyze trends to detect potential risks.
  • Develop and update environmental policies, SOPs, and contingency plans.
  • Update the inventory of scheduled waste daily.
  • Control and manage all environmental documentation.

Administrative & Reporting

  • Maintain and update all Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) records related to quarry production activities.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on production, safety incidents, inspections, and environmental monitoring.
  • Ensure proper filing and control of permits, licenses, MSDS, and other regulatory compliance documents.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits (e.g., DOSH, DOE, ISO).
  • Support the Production Manager and Safety Officer in scheduling inspections, trainings, and audits.
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies for document submissions.
  • Provide administrative support such as data entry, correspondence, and meeting minutes related to SHE matters.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1, RM2,000.00 per month
