Our client is a well-established and fast-growing global logistics and shipping company offering end-to-end supply chain solutions, including ocean freight, air freight, warehousing, and customs brokerage. Key Responsibilities1. Sales & Business Development
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the shipping liner segment.
- Prepare and deliver proposals, quotations, and presentations to prospective customers.
2. Client Relationship Management
- Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction through prompt communication, issue resolution, and service excellence.
- Serve as the main liaison between clients and internal departments.
3. Sales Planning & Forecasting
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts and business plans aligned with organizational goals.
- Monitor sales performance and provide regular progress reports to management.
- Support strategic planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
4. Market Research & Analysis
- Conduct research to identify market trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities.
- Analyze customer requirements and market data to support business strategy development.
- Provide insights and recommendations to management for growth and risk mitigation.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Operations, Documentation, Customs Services, and Container Management to ensure seamless execution of shipping operations.
- Coordinate with regional and overseas partners to meet customer and shipment requirements.
6. Cost & Operations Management
- Monitor and control costs related to shipping operations, including port charges, handling fees, and vessel logistics.
- Work with finance and operations teams to optimize profitability and operational efficiency.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management within the shipping, liner, or logistics industry.
- Proven success in achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management abilities.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset with a focus on results.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM tools.
- Knowledge:
- Familiarity with shipping operations, ocean freight, and documentation processes.
- Understanding of logistics regulations, port operations, and liner management.
- Personal Attributes:
- Customer-centric, proactive, and self-driven.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Willing to travel locally and internationally when required.
