About the role

As a Technician at Usin Tech Sdn Bhd, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support and maintenance for our retail technology products. This full-time position is based in Seri Kembangan, Selangor, and offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced retail environment.

What you'll be doing

  1. Set up hardware including installation and configure software & drivers.
  2. Perform inspection, analysis and troubleshoot of systems and equipment.
  3. Repairing or replacing faulty component in computer, laptop any other equipment.
  4. Perform regular upgrades to ensure systems remain updated with optimal performance.
  5. Maintain detailed records of all repairs and maintenance activities for future reference.
  6. Does maintenance relate to PC and laptop.
  7. Provide technical support and guidance to retail staff on the use and maintenance of technology products
  8. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve your skills
  9. Perform other ad hoc work

What we're looking for

  1. Diploma or Certificate in Computer Hardware, IT, or related field.
  2. Minimum 2 years of experience in a technical support or repair role, preferably in the retail industry
  3. Strong knowledge of PC hardware and software.
  4. Familiarity with data recovery tools and antivirus software.
  5. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to diagnose and troubleshoot a range of technical issues
  6. Hands-on experience with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of retail technology products
  7. Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with retail staff and provide clear, easy-to-understand guidance
  8. A proactive and customer-focused approach to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of technology in our stores
  9. A valid driver's license and able to work overtime when required.

Operation hour for HQ (Mon – Sunday: 10 am – 7pm) while new branch Seri Kembangan operates everyday (Mon - Sat; 10 am - 9pm, Sun; 12pm - 9pm).
