About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished and forward-thinking Team Head of Infrastructure and Systems to lead our IT infrastructure operations, systems administration, and technology modernization initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure — ensuring scalability, security, high availability, and operational excellence across all systems and platforms.

This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical knowledge, proven people management skills, and the ability to align technology infrastructure with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Infrastructure and Systems team, including network engineers, system administrators, and IT operations staff.
  • Oversee the planning, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization, network, and cloud environments.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and security of on-premise and cloud systems.
  • Drive infrastructure modernization initiatives, including migration to cloud and automation of system operations.
  • Develop and implement infrastructure standards, policies, and best practices for system reliability and scalability.
  • Manage disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity planning and testing.
  • Oversee system performance monitoring, capacity planning, and proactive issue resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with application, cybersecurity, and business teams to ensure system alignment and integration.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, service providers, and technology partners.
  • Prepare and manage the infrastructure budget, including procurement, licensing, and resource allocation.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and systems management, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Windows/Linux servers, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), networking (LAN/WAN, firewalls, routing), and cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Proven experience managing data centers, backup/recovery systems, storage, and enterprise monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework, ISO 27001 standards, and IT governance best practices.
  • Experience leading cloud transformation or infrastructure automation projects (Terraform, Ansible, etc.) is an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver results under pressure.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, CCNP, VMware VCP, ITIL) preferred.
