Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Biology & Science Teacher to join our Secondary School team. The ideal candidate is committed to high-quality teaching, student development, and creating an engaging learning environment aligned with the Cambridge Lower Secondary & IGCSE curriculum.


Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
  • Teach Biology (Lower Secondary & IGCSE) and General Science following Cambridge curriculum standards.
  • Prepare high-quality lesson plans, teaching materials, lab activities, and assessments.
  • Ensure all lessons incorporate critical thinking, scientific inquiry, and hands-on learning.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs and abilities.
  • Use data from assessments to improve lesson delivery and student outcomes.
Laboratory & Safety
  • Conduct lab sessions following proper safety procedures.
  • Manage laboratory equipment, materials, and requisitions.
  • Guide students on safe scientific practices and inquiry-based experiments.
Student Development
  • Monitor academic progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Support students' emotional well-being and academic motivation.
  • Conduct extra support or revision classes when necessary.
School Culture & Duties
  • Participate in school events, meetings, professional development, and CCA activities.
  • Uphold school policies related to discipline, safeguarding, and academic integrity.
  • Maintain accurate records, including grades, lesson plans, and exam documentation.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology / Science Education or relevant field.
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, Diploma in Education, or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • Experience teaching Cambridge Lower Secondary & IGCSE preferred.
  • Strong command of English (spoken and written).
  • Passionate about teaching and committed to student progress.
  • Able to work collaboratively and maintain professionalism at all times.
