Role Overview

Otis is growing and we are recruiting a Section Manager for our Field Service team, in the Kuala Lumpur territory or business. The main goal of the role is to provide day-to-day management, training, and engagement for field staff, including employee selection, field training and safety. This individual will also lead operational efforts and ensure superior customer satisfaction.

On a typical day you will:

  • Ensure field employee safety, quality and compliance

  • Meet with customers to ensure obligations and expectations are achieved

  • Direct the performance of field maintenance and contractual service operations

  • Conduct field education training with field workforce

  • Maintain customer quality assurance, managing the expenditure of labor and materials

  • Improve efficiencies, managing route schedules and callback rates

  • Provide technical support, working with Service Sales on sales estimation / proposals as required

  • Authorize repair orders and tracking completion

  • Lead change to better efficiency and communication

What you will need to be successful

  • High school education required; BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent relevant work experience (at least 3 years)

  • Experience leading a team of technicians is preferred

  • Elevator industry experience is desired,

  • Experience with digital applications for managing work teams and products

  • Excellent communication skills and leadership skills, and the ability to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment

  • Strong computer and technology skills, business acumen and a passion for customer service.
