The opportunity

Devsync Tech Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented Java Developer to join our dynamic team. In this full-time role, you will work on cutting-edge technology projects from our Kuala Lumpur Sentral office, contributing to the development and implementation of innovative software solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain high-quality Java applications and microservices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver efficient, scalable solutions
  • Write clean, well-documented code and ensure adherence to coding standards
  • Participate in the full software development life cycle, from planning to deployment
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues, identifying and implementing improvements
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Java technologies and best practices
  • Mentor and share knowledge with junior developers

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Java Developer
  • Strong proficiency in Java, including frameworks such as Spring Boot, MyBatis and Spring Cloud.
  • Familiarity with relational databases and MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL databases, with strong SQL writing and optimization capabilities.
  • Familiar with at least one or more middleware technologies such as Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, MongoDB, ZooKeeper, HBase, and Elasticsearch, and understanding of their underlying principles to diagnose and resolve issues.

  • Experience in business system development, with deep and broad knowledge of existing systems and suggestions for improvements (including business architecture and processes).

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Good understanding of Agile development methodologies
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Working Hours and Culture

  • Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
  • Current project schedule: Temporarily 6 working days/week (Monday–Saturday) with Saturday WFH during high-demand projects.
  • Overtime: Must be able to work overtime when required.
