Job Description :

  • Provide administrative support to the Executive Chef while maintaining professional, friendly, and tactful communication with guests, suppliers, and team members.
  • Keep supervisors informed of any matters affecting work, service quality, or hotel reputation, and consistently maintain a clean and tidy appearance.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in adjusting responsibilities or schedules to meet business needs.
  • Deliver friendly and caring service, work well with team members, and ensure the work environment is clean, organized, and well maintained.
  • Perform all tasks with strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
  • Take responsibility for your actions, follow the Band Handbook, remain reliable and punctual, and continuously develop your job knowledge through training.
  • Use initiative when supervisors are not immediately available to give instructions.
  • Provide information on hotel facilities and services, type correspondence, send faxes, manage filing systems, and assist in processing market lists, food orders, and storeroom requests.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum SPM, Diploma in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field (preferred).
  • 1–3 years of experience in kitchen operations, administration, or coordinating roles in hotels, restaurants, or catering establishments.
  • Strong understanding of basic kitchen processes, food handling, hygiene, and safety standards.
  • Good administrative and organizational skills, including filing, documentation, and data recording.
  • Ability to assist in handling market lists, food orders, and inventory-related tasks accurately.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, emails, documentation systems).
  • Strong communication skills for effective coordination between kitchen staff, suppliers, and other departments.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a team and support kitchen leadership effectively.
  • Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
  • Positive attitude, proactive mindset, and willingness to learn and improve.
