The
Manager, Finance
will be responsible for managing the financial health of the organization by overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance. This role plays a critical part in supporting strategic decision-making and ensuring robust financial governance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting:

  • Lead the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the Group and its subsidiaries
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., MFRS/IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee variance analysis, profitability tracking, and performance dashboards for management and Board reporting.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Drive annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and financial modeling to support expansion strategies (new outlets, warehouses, investments).
  • Provide scenario analysis (best case, base case, worst case) for financing and expansion plans.
  • Evaluate ROI for projects, CAPEX, new ventures, and M&A activities.
  • Monitor budget utilization and analyse variances between actual and forecasted results.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.

Cash Flow & Treasury:

  • Manage banking relationships (CIMB, UOB, Maybank, SME Bank, etc.), including loan drawdowns, repayments, and compliance with covenants.
  • Oversee treasury management, cash pooling, and intercompany funding arrangements.
  • Evaluate funding options and support financing activities when necessary.
  • Support corporate finance activities: share capital increases, dividend planning, and debt/equity structuring.

Internal Controls & Compliance:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Ensure timely tax filings, statutory submissions, and compliance with government regulations (e.g., LHDN, SSM, EPF, SOCSO in Malaysia).
  • Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team.
  • Establish performance goals and conduct regular performance evaluations.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

Business Partnering:

  • Collaborate with other departments to support cross-functional initiatives and strategic planning.
  • Provide financial input on business decisions, investments, and operational improvements.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CIMA is preferred.
  • Minimum 7–8 years of relevant working experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory/managerial role. Preferably F&B, Retail & Manufacturing industries.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, tax, and financial regulations.
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Autocount, Oracle, QuickBooks, or others).
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
