The impact you'll make
As a Test Engineer at Lam, you'll design and implement efficient testing methods for product development and manufacturing, improving quality and reducing cycle time. You'll perform diagnostic tests, design test features and equipment, and create detailed specifications for new products. Your strategic planning of labor, schedules, and equipment ensures effective testing operations. Join us in shaping the future of precision and reliability at Lam.

What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot new or existing product problems, involving designs, materials, or processes.
• Designs, develops, and implements safe and cost effective complex equipment and methods for testing in HVM environment.
• Perform root cause investigation, recommend corrective and preventive actions for issues detected at test stages.
• Identify opportunities to improve test processes or resolve problems and follow through resolution to reduce costs, improve product quality, and cycle time.
• Reviews and develops designs that improve product manufacturability and testing.
• Coordinate new product builds in pilot production partnering closely with manufacturing and product engineers.
• Perform test scripts conversion through python and develop SPCs.
• Transform manual processes through automation efforts through creativity, out of box thinking, & exceptional programming skills.

We're Seeking a Candidate Who

• Understands semiconductor equipment and testing methods.
• Communicates clearly in English, both in writing and speaking.
• Can analyze data and apply statistical tools in a production environment.
• Has basic programming knowledge.
• Works well with stakeholders and can explain technical topics effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Fresh graduates or 1-2 years experience eligible to apply.
• Problem solving capabilities in the areas of tests and hardware.
• Solid understanding of Python, Java, and C++ programming.

• Advantage for those whom has :

• experience in Engineering Change Management Process

• Statistical Process Control (SPC) understanding and application experience.
• Interests in automation and AI subjects.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
