Our client is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer (CQE) to be part of their fast-paced manufacturing team. This role focuses on managing and resolving customer quality concerns efficiently while ensuring that production maintains the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle, verify, and resolve customer complaints promptly and effectively.
  • Conduct timely follow-ups and perform on-site visits when necessary.
  • Prepare and deliver a containment action plan within one business day.
  • Work closely with process engineers or production teams to create 8D reports and provide customer feedback within five working days.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with customers regarding the progress of 8D reports until they are fully approved and closed.
  • Present 8D findings to customers when required, alongside the respective process engineer.
  • Record and update complaint information in the Lynx system, including root cause, containment, and corrective actions.
  • Participate in Quarterly Business Review (QBR) meetings hosted by customers.
  • Review and analyze customer complaint trends to suggest quality improvement measures.
  • Notify customers of any major product or process modifications.
  • Hold the authority to stop production to address critical quality issues.
  • Coordinate with internal manufacturing and intercompany teams on technical and quality matters requested by customers.
  • Take part in internal and process audits, corrective actions, and other quality-related activities, utilizing Internal Quality Auditing skills.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering, or a Diploma in Engineering with a minimum of 3 years' related experience.
  • Familiarity with ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO/TS16949 standards is advantageous.
  • Experience in implementing Total Quality Management (TQM) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of stamping, molding, and plating processes is desirable.
  • Solid grasp of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and experience conducting quality audits.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification or training will be an advantage.

  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Languages: Proficiency in Mandarin, English, and Malay required
  • Annual Leave: 11 days
  • Salary Range: RM5,000 – RM9,000 per month
