Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparation on process of purchase order.
  • Assists in the daily operations of issue enquiry to supplier, prepare price comparison, PO and co-ordinate with supplier on materials delivery.
  • Establish material procurement program.
  • Implement procurement plan to meet with the requirement of project in respect to time, cost and quality.
  • Input of Data for Purchasing records into the purchasing system
  • Administrative functions eg filing, photocopying, typing, printing reports etc
  • Issue quotation enquiry
  • Prepare the price comparison & get approval
  • Negotiating price with suppliers
  • Issue Purchase Order to suppliers
  • Follow up on delivery schedule with suppliers
  • Identify and prequalify suitable suppliers
  • Batching invoice & submit to finance
  • To comply and adhere to all matters pertaining to Quality, Safety & Health and Environment related to the job scope and work place as required by the Company.
  • Any other duties that will be assigned from time to time by the Management.

Qualifications

  • Diploma / Degree in
    Quantity Surveying
    ,
    Construction Management
    , or equivalent.
  • Minimum
    2–5 years' experience
    in construction procurement or cost management (infrastructure experience preferred).
  • Good knowledge of
    BOQ/BOM, cost comparison, and supplier evaluation
    .
  • Proficient in
    Microsoft Excel
    ,
    AutoCAD
    , and ERP/procurement software.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Resourceful, self-driven, proactive and independent.
  • Willing to work in Penang area.
