About the role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Audit Associate to join our dynamic team at NLT & CO. In this full-time position based in Johor Bahru, Johor, you will play a crucial role in conducting external audits and providing high-quality assurance services to our diverse client base.

What you'll be doing

  • Performing comprehensive audits and reviews of financial statements, internal controls, and compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Analysing financial data, identifying risks, and recommending solutions to improve our clients' financial reporting and operational efficiency
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and evaluate audit evidence, document findings, and prepare detailed audit reports
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of audit plans, procedures, and best practices
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest accounting and auditing regulations, and proactively identifying opportunities for process improvements
  • Providing excellent client service by responding promptly to inquiries and addressing any concerns or issues that arise

What we're looking for

  • Relevant diploma, degree in Accounting or a related field, with a recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA)
  • At least 1 year of experience in external auditing or a similar role, preferably within a reputable accounting firm
  • Fresh graduate are encouraged to apply
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify potential issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team, as well as independently when required
