About the Role

As our Marketing & Event Manager, you'll be the driving force behind our marketing strategy — from concept to execution. You'll craft brand narratives that connect emotionally with our audience, manage end-to-end campaigns, and strengthen our presence through digital and offline initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Marketing & Brand Development

  • Develop, implement, and manage annual marketing plans to support business growth and brand objectives.
  • Translate brand strategies into actionable go-to-market campaigns and consumer communication plans.
  • Own and evolve the brand narrative to ensure relevance, consistency, and emotional connection with target audiences.
  • Identify market opportunities through consumer insights, competitive analysis, and performance metrics.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor branding strategies to keep the company ahead of industry standards. This involves conducting research, analyzing competitor activities, and sharing insights with the team.

Campaign & Product Launch Management

  • Lead full-cycle marketing campaigns from concept to execution, including launch plans for new programs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to ensure cohesive brand experiences.
  • Optimize A&P budget allocation for maximum ROI, tracking performance, and improving campaign effectiveness.
  • Manage co-branding campaigns and joint marketing initiatives with partners to enhance visibility and engagement by coordinating with internal and external teams, tracking campaign performance, and ensuring seamless execution.
  • Lead the execution of a comprehensive affiliate marketing strategy to drive customer acquisition and retention by identifying potential affiliates, onboarding new partners, and managing affiliate communications and performance.

Digital & Community Marketing

  • Plan and execute digital marketing initiatives across social media platforms (Facebook, Website, WhatsApp, etc.).
  • Grow and manage local communities through O2O (online-to-offline) strategies.
  • Provide accurate and timely information reports and analysis of all digital marketing activities.
  • Develop and review the concept of creative artworks/visuals for marketing purposes.

Offline Marketing & Events

  • Identify key industry events to build brand awareness and grow prospective client relationships.
  • Conceptualize project management for end-to-end events.
  • Manage approved marketing budget to lead events calendar – own, sponsored and partnership events.
  • Liaise with suppliers for cost negotiation, for marketing materials, and for deliverables within budget.
  • Ensure timely delivery and quality control of marketing & partnership events in Malaysia.
  • Plan and manage on-ground events, not limited to corporate events and roadshows.
  • Customize and localize marketing materials (flyers, banners, booths) to appeal to diverse audiences.
  • Build relationships and negotiate with venue owners to secure high -traffic locations for activations.

Sales Enablement & Marketing Development

  • Work closely with the Business Development Team to support lead generation and B2C/B2B conversion.
  • Conduct product demos, onboarding sessions, and promotional campaigns targeting B2C and B2B.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of partnership efforts with overall business and marketing goals. This includes sharing insights, contributing to campaign planning, and leading integrated marketing activities related to partnerships.
  • Manage the preparation of regular reports on the performance of partnership and affiliate programs, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 4–6 years of experience across several marketing functions such as digital marketing, content marketing, & campaign planning).
  • Background in fintech, e-commerce, agency, or start-up environments preferred.
  • Strong communicator in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Proactive, results-driven, and organized with solid project management skills.
  • "Customer-first" mindset with the ability to empathize with audience needs.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to change.
  • Bonus: SEO or content creation experience.
