Job Description – Performance Tester

Role: Performance Tester

Experience: 3–5 Years

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Performance Tester with strong hands-on expertise in performance testing tools such as LoadRunner and JMeter. The ideal candidate will design, execute, and analyze performance tests while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure application scalability, stability, and reliability. Additional experience with scripting, automation tools, and Agile processes will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct performance testing using LoadRunner and JMeter based on business and technical requirements.
  • Analyse performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and provide detailed recommendations.
  • Prepare performance test plans, scenarios, scripts, and execution strategies.
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and business analysts to understand system architecture and performance needs.
  • Support forecasting, capacity planning, and performance requirement gathering.
  • Document results, defects, and performance insights clearly and effectively.
  • Work within Agile teams, participating in sprints, stand-ups, and test planning activities.
  • Ensure adherence to testing methodologies, quality standards, and best practices.
  • Develop scripts using VBScript, Java, or C where necessary.
  • Contribute to delivery execution, timeline creation, and reporting.

Mandatory Skills

  • LoadRunner (hands-on experience)
  • Apache JMeter
  • Strong scripting capabilities in VBScript, Java, or C
  • Experience with performance testing processes, standards, and frameworks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Optional / Good-to-Have Skills

  • Tosca
  • Selenium
  • Experience with automation testing frameworks
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Professional Experience

  • Experience working in an Agile environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred)

Pay: RM5, RM10,000.00 per month
