Full Stack Software Engineer, AI Platform @ U-Reg

U-Reg is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join our fast-paced and innovative engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of full-stack development and AI/ML integration, making it ideal for an experienced engineer ready to build and own interfaces and infrastructure that bring powerful AI capabilities to users. You will contribute directly to impactful solutions that transform how financial institutions manage and exchange regulatory information.

As a Software Engineer, you will collaborate closely with our AI team, playing a critical role in implementing and optimizing data pipelines that connect our AI systems to production applications. You'll develop intuitive user interfaces that make complex AI functionality accessible, build robust backend APIs that facilitate model integration, and help scale our data processing workflows. You will take ownership of the technical development of key platform functionalities from design through deployment, working closely with cross-functional teams with your technical decisions directly impacting business outcomes.

Responsibilities

· Build and optimize scalable backend APIs using JavaScript to seamlessly integrate AI models into the platform

· Design and implement responsive data pipelines that efficiently connect AI systems with production applications and user interfaces

· Develop and optimize React-based UI components that interface with AI services

· Collaborate with the AI team to integrate LLM-powered features into the platform through clean, well-documented interfaces

· Own end-to-end delivery of features from technical design to production deployment

· Implement clean, well-documented code that maintains performance while handling complex regulatory information

· Participate in debugging, documentation, testing, and performance optimization across the full application stack

· Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical design decisions

Desired Qualifications

· 3-5 years of professional software engineering experience building production web applications

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field

· Proven track record developing production React applications with modern JavaScript/TypeScript

· Strong experience building and deploying backend services with in production environments

· Understanding of RESTful API design and integration principles, with experience designing APIs consumed by multiple clients

· Experience with database design, optimization, and query performance in PostgreSQL or similar relational databases

· Production experience with AWS cloud services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudWatch)

· Strong problem-solving skills with ability to work independently and make technical decisions

· Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

· Experience with CI/CD pipelines and production deployment practices
