Job Description

1.Business Driver

• Disciplinary responsibility of an organizational unit (team; cost center), whereby the focus here is on personnel and budget responsibility in particular
• Representing and positioning your own organizational unit to stakeholders as well as actively cooperating with business partners to create sustainable needs and generate new orders
• Analyzing, evaluating and planning key figures to be able to control one's own organizational unit according to financial aspects
• Making personnel decisions regarding personnel selection, capacity management, as well as performance- and remuneration-relevant aspects

2.Transformational Leader

• Active participation in strategy development at the organizational level
• Translating and managing strategic developments for your own organizational unit
• Operate active portfolio management to ensure strategic requirements

3.People Developer

• Accompaniment and support of employees in their professional and personal development
• Active management of team dynamics as well as individual orientation regarding expectations and development potential
• General care for the employees responsible

4.Change Agent

• Ensuring a future-proof orientation of your own organizational unit - in terms of collaboration models, product orientation, skill management, competence development and transformation capability
• Procedural, organizational and empathetic support of the employees responsible for changes
• Promoting international collaboration at the Home of Tech level (in terms of content and culture)

5.Self-Leader

• Practices self-management, sets priorities, constantly questions his own role and controls himself and his own issues on his own responsibility

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years' working experience in a related field is required.
• Degree in the field of computer science or business informatics, as well as several years of professional experience in IT specific

Specific knowledge/ Skill

• Proactive and autonomous way of working, steering in a highly structured way
• High self-motivation, resilience and prioritization capabilities in volatile IT environment
• Well-developed communication & negotiation skills and assertiveness
• Technical background across a wide range of technologies, particularly software engineering, to be able to communicate with the teams in their language
• Good understanding of various industry standard agile practices (DevSecOps, CI/CD, Scrum, Kanban)
• Ability to build good relationships with colleagues at all hierarchical levels and in different roles to find access
• Entrepreneurial thinking and mindset
• Experience working with many international markets / business partner

Responsibility and Scope for decision-making

• Proven experience in operational, conceptual, and technical aspects across various phases of IT product development.
• Expertise in leading and strategically aligning distributed agile development teams, with a strong track record of collaborating with international partners and teams.
• Profound experience in customer, stakeholder and people management ~ 30 direct reports
• In-depth understanding of how to digitize and optimize processes
• Proven track record in developing complex digital products and strategic initiatives
• Excellent knowledge of Mercedes-Benz brand and IT products
