Air Change Australia design and manufacture unique and innovative air conditioning and dehumidification systems for clients in Australasia, the Pacific and South East Asia.

We are looking to recruit an experienced air conditioning design engineer to work in our Malaysia operation located in Johor just over the border from Singapore. This is an opportunity to join an engineering team that has been recognised and awarded by the air conditioning industry for innovative product design and help to expand this operation in Malaysia.

The role requires a good understanding of refrigeration system and air movement design and the associated electrical and controls necessary to ensure the unit meets its design intent.

Preparation of manufacturing detail design and documentation for manufacture is a necessary part of the job description.

To succeed in this role, you will have had at least 3 to 5 years previous design experience with an air conditioner or chiller manufacturing company.

Your personal situation is very important. Candidates that are either single or have a partner that does not want to work are best suited for the role as employment opportunities for them are limited.

Preferably you will also have:

  • Tertiary qualification/s in Mechanical Engineering including controls and programming experience;
  • Past experience with Solidworks and Driveworks computer design software; and
  • Excellent analytical and logistic skills, computer literacy and proficiency in both verbal and written English communication.
