About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Japanese Restaurant Staff to join our dynamic team at Gannendo Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur. As a full-time or part-time team member, you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our customers. This fast-paced, hands-on role is perfect for passionate individuals who thrive in a collaborative kitchen environment.

What you'll be doing

  1. Prepare and cook delicious Japanese cuisine to the highest standards
  2. Ensure all food preparation and presentation meets our exacting quality standards
  3. Maintain a clean, organised and well-stocked kitchen environment
  4. Collaborate with the broader team to deliver prompt and efficient customer service
  5. Adhere to all health, safety and hygiene regulations
  6. Contribute ideas to menu development and kitchen operations

What we're looking for

  1. Proven experience as a chef or cook, preferably in a Japanese restaurant setting
  2. Knowledge of traditional Japanese cooking techniques and flavour profiles
  3. Excellent knife skills and an eye for culinary presentation
  4. Strong time management and multi-tasking abilities to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  5. A team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  6. Passion for delivering exceptional customer service
  7. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
