About the role

Adept Construction & Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Site Safety Supervisor to join our team in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan. As a full-time employee, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety and environmental compliance of our construction site operations.

What you'll be doing

  • Conducting regular site inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential health, safety and environmental risks
  • Implementing and monitoring the site's safety policies, procedures and safe work practices
  • Providing health and safety training to all site personnel and subcontractors
  • Investigating and reporting on any incidents, accidents or near-misses, and recommending corrective actions
  • Liaising with regulatory authorities and clients to ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation and contractual requirements
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to the site's health, safety and environmental management
  • Actively promoting a positive safety culture and encouraging safe behaviour among the workforce

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Site Safety Supervisor or in a similar role within the construction industry
  • Thorough understanding of occupational health and safety regulations, environmental management, and construction site safety best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with all levels of personnel
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to identify and resolve safety-related issues
  • Proficient in the use of safety management software and technology
  • Relevant safety certifications, such as IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent, would be an advantage
