Kitchen Helper

We are looking for a dedicated Kitchen Helper who can assist in preparing and cooking Chinese cuisine. The ideal candidate should be able to communicate in Chinese and support daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, cleanliness, and smooth workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing and cooking various Chinese dishes under the supervision of the chef.
• Prepare ingredients (washing, chopping, cutting, marinating, etc.) for Chinese cuisine.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, including work areas, utensils, and equipment.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking tools after use.
• Assist in food plating and serving when required.
• Ensure food items are stored properly and ingredients are fresh.
• Help with receiving, unpacking, and organizing kitchen supplies.
• Dispose of kitchen waste properly and follow safety and hygiene procedures.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.

Requirements:

• Able to speak and understand Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese).
• Experience in cooking Chinese cuisine is required.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and hygiene.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions.
• Team player with a positive working attitude.
• Physically fit and able to work long hours if required.

Working Conditions:

• Able to working in weekends and public holidays if required.
• Able to working in kitchen environment.
• Handling cleaning chemicals and food waste as part of daily duties.
