1. Operational Management

  • Oversee daily café operations to ensure efficiency and smooth workflow.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensure all operational SOPs, standards, and guidelines are followed by staff.
  • Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stock control of food, beverages, and supplies.
  • Monitor equipment conditions and ensure timely servicing and maintenance.

2. Staff Leadership & Supervision

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise Baristas, Senior Baristas, and Café Crew.
  • Plan staff schedules, roster rotations, and shift assignments based on business needs.
  • Conduct training for new staff and provide ongoing coaching to improve skills and performance.
  • Handle staff discipline, performance evaluation, and conflict resolution.
  • Encourage teamwork and a positive working environment.

3. Customer Service Excellence

  • Ensure high standards of customer service and guest satisfaction at all times.
  • Address customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain a welcoming, pleasant, and clean café environment for all patrons.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, including regular guests.

4. Financial & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily cash handling, POS balancing, and financial accuracy.
  • Monitor and analyse café sales performance, including daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Assist in budgeting, sales forecasting, and cost control strategies.
  • Manage staff attendance, leave planning, and timesheet verification for HR and payroll.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial and administrative policies.

5. Food, Beverage & Menu Management

  • Ensure all beverages and food items are prepared according to quality standards.
  • Work with the management team to introduce new menu items, promotions, and seasonal products.
  • Monitor product freshness, expiry dates, and proper storage procedures.
  • Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning.

6. Hygiene, Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce strict hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards in all areas of the café.
  • Conduct routine checks to ensure proper cleaning of equipment, utensils, and work areas.
  • Ensure all staff follow personal hygiene requirements and grooming standards.
  • Comply with local health regulations, safety laws, and occupational safety guidelines.
  • Maintain documentation for hygiene audits and regulatory inspections.

7. Inventory & Supply Management

  • Monitor usage of raw materials, packaging, and consumables to prevent wastage.
  • Prepare purchase requests and manage supplier relationships.
  • Track stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.
  • Conduct monthly stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.

8. Marketing & Sales Support

  • Support marketing initiatives such as promotions, social media activities, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Identify strategies to increase footfall, sales, and customer engagement.
  • Ensure visual merchandising, signage, and menu displays are updated and attractive.

9. Problem-Solving & Decision Making

  • Respond to operational challenges promptly and effectively.
  • Make informed decisions to maintain service quality and smooth café operation.
  • Provide solutions for customer issues, staff matters, and supply shortages.

10. Reporting & Communication

  • Provide regular updates to the Head of Operations/Management on café performance.
  • Report incidents, staff concerns, and operational issues promptly.
  • Ensure effective communication within the café team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2, RM3,500.00 per month
