Key Responsibilities:

  1. Craft and produce a variety of dim sum items — including dumplings, buns, rolls, and specialty dishes — according to recipes and presentation standards.

  2. Prepare and season fillings, doughs, and sauces, ensuring freshness, quality, and proper storage.

  3. Operate steamers, fryers, and ovens with precision and care.

  4. Maintain consistency in flavor, texture, and appearance of all dim sum items.

  5. Oversee mise en place and ensure workstations are clean, organized, and fully stocked.

  6. Coordinate closely with the kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth, timely operations.

  7. Monitor stock levels, manage ingredients efficiently, and report shortages or quality issues promptly.

  8. Uphold strict hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards at all times.

Requirements:

  • 2–3 years of experience as a Dim Sum Chef or Dim Sum CDP in high-volume or specialty dim sum establishments.

  • Strong knowledge of traditional Chinese culinary techniques and service etiquette.

  • Skilled in shaping, folding, and steaming a variety of dim sum items.

  • Excellent knife skills and precision in handling vegetables, meats, and seafood.

  • Ability to work efficiently and calmly during peak service hours.

  • Strong communication and teamwork with other kitchen staff.

  • Consistent in portioning, garnishing, and plating to maintain presentation standards.
