Key responsibilities
- Driving and transportation: Safely operate a lorry to transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from various sites.
- Vehicle maintenance: Conduct daily checks on the vehicle, such as tires, brakes, and oil, and perform minor repairs to keep it in good working order.
- Loading and unloading: Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring that cargo is properly secured before and during transport.
- Route planning: Plan the most efficient delivery routes and stay informed about traffic conditions and road closures.
- Record keeping: Maintain accurate logs of mileage, deliveries, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
- Safety and compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, site safety regulations, and company policies.
- Communication: Communicate with dispatchers, supervisors, and site managers to report delivery status or any issues that arise.
- Site assistance: Assist with other general labor and site duties as needed, such as clearing debris.
Required qualifications
- A valid lorry/commercial driver's license.
- A clean driving record.
- Experience in a similar driving role, preferably within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of local roads and traffic laws.
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy materials.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM1, RM4,000.00 per month
