About the role

As an Account Assistant at ECBA SDN. BHD., you will play a vital role in supporting our accounting operations and contributing to the overall financial health of the business. This full-time position is based in Johor Bahru, Johor, and will involve a range of bookkeeping and accounting responsibilities to help our small practice thrive.

What you'll be doing

  1. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank reconciliations
  2. Processing invoices, payments, and other financial transactions in a timely and efficient manner
  3. Assisting with the preparation of financial statements, reports, and other documents as required
  4. Providing administrative support to the accounting team, including data entry, filing, and general office duties
  5. Collaborating with colleagues to ensure efficient and effective accounting processes
  6. Staying up-to-date with relevant accounting regulations and best practices

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar accounting or bookkeeping role
  2. Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for accuracy
  3. Proficient in the use of accounting software and spreadsheet applications
  4. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  5. A keen interest in the accounting and finance industry, with a willingness to continuously learn and develop new skills
  6. Relevant qualifications, such as a diploma or degree in Accounting or a related field, would be an advantage
