*Overview:*
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of our resort kitchen.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in kitchen or culinary operations, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with both kitchen staff and other departments. This role requires hands-on involvement in ensuring food quality, inventory management, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety in the kitchen.
*Responsibilities:*
- Coordinate and support the daily operations of the kitchen to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
- Work closely with the Executive Chef and kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals according to resort standards.
- Monitor food production, portion control, and presentation to maintain consistent quality and standards.
- Manage inventory levels by tracking usage, placing orders, and ensuring proper storage of ingredients and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
- Maintain clear and effective communication between the kitchen, service teams, and other departments.
- Assist in scheduling kitchen staff, tracking attendance, and reporting any staffing issues to the Chef or HR.
- Help implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for kitchen processes.
- Support training and onboarding of new kitchen staff, promoting a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the relevant department promptly.
- Assist in cost control efforts by minimizing waste and maximizing kitchen efficiency.
- Prepare regular reports on kitchen operations, inventory usage, and food safety audits.
*Requirements:*
- Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts, Kitchen Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a kitchen operations or coordination role, preferably in a resort or hospitality setting.
- Strong understanding of kitchen workflows, food safety standards, and inventory management.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Team player with a proactive and positive attitude.
