IT Support Executive

We are seeking an IT Support Executive to provide operation and technical support to internal users with primary focus on installing and configuring personal computers, printers and peripheral equipment.

Equipment and Software Operational Support

-Installs, Configures and makes operational personal computers, printers and other equipment on computer network.

-Assists in planning and installation of peripheral equipment.

-Analyzes, Designs, Develops, Tests and Implement workstation set up and operating environment.

-Provides guidance and training to staff in resolving problems and queries.

-Following strictly a set of installation instructions provided by HQ in compliance with security policy.

Computer Services Help Desk Support

-Provides Information Technology Help Desk support.

-Act as first point of contact in all computer hardware, software and telecommunications problems and requests providing 75% resolution for requests on first point of contact.

-Analyses problems (Technical and Operational) and arrive at workable solutions.

-Dispatches other Information Technology staff and vendor representative to assist in resolving problems.

-Communicate with HQ for problem resolution on overall HQ infrastructure setting.

Network Management & Planning

-Maintains the operational integrity of the company computer network and its components in conjunction with members of the IT team.

-Assists in network planning and installation as required.

-Implement procedures to support specific application database environments, including applicable Help Desk tools.

-Monitor and Maintains performance of network and network components

-Assist with medium and long-range computer facility, data communication and systems planning.

-Manage and maintain network and computer security in line with HQ policy.

Administrative Function

-Provides and maintains technical and user documentation.

-Add and Delete User Accounts (with assistance as required from the AD Management Team).

-Maintain Computer and licensing asset record list. Accountable to the number of licenses and Software client access rights held by the company.

-Maintain the network map for the office.

-Provide administrative support to RSM team members.

Equipment and Software Technical Support

-Diagnoses computer and printer hardware problems and coordinates the warranty replacement or part replacement.

-Provides support and resolves problems related to installed computer software.

-Identifies software application, network and hardware malfunction and takes appropriate action to resolve issues ensuring data/system integrity.

-Provide technical support to RSM and Subsidiary Sales Office (Penang) as and when required.

-Install and update Microsoft Security patches on all computer devices.

-Install and configure Tanium, Cybereason, Zscaler, Menlo, Passed PC, and BYOD according to HQ requirements.

-At least 3 years of IT support experience with:

• Supporting end-users with PC setup, printer/network issues, and troubleshooting
• Basic Windows environment troubleshooting

• Installing, configuring, and maintaining software and hardware

• Basic Network & Server Knowledge

• Understanding of LAN, Wi-Fi, and router setup

• Basic account and access management

-Experience in managing daily operations and technology projects (e.g. backup / restoration, maintenance, conversions, upgrades, deployments, implementations)

• Network & Infrastructure Management Experience

• Server or Cloud Environment Knowledge (Windows Server, Active Directory, File Servers, Backups)

• IT Asset & License Management Experience
