EOI: Building Inspector

Position Overview:
The Building Inspector ensures that buildings and infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards of safety, functionality, and aesthetics through scheduled inspections and reporting.
Core Responsibilities:
Inspection and Compliance
● Conduct regular inspections of building fabric, structure, M&E systems, and fire safety equipment.
● Identify defects, hazards, and compliance breaches, and recommend corrective actions.
Reporting
● Prepare detailed inspection reports highlighting findings and corrective measures needed.
● Escalate urgent safety risks immediately to the Hard Services Manager.
Audit and Support
● Assist in third-party audits and internal compliance reviews.
● Verify remedial works post-rectification and update compliance records.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
● Diploma in Building Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
● Minimum 5 years' experience in building inspections.
● Strong knowledge of Malaysian building codes, safety standards, and best practices.
● Good report writing and communication skills.
