Department:

Purchasing / Procurement

A. Purchasing & Procurement

  • Source, compare and negotiate prices, terms, and delivery conditions with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders (PO) according to approved requisitions.
  • Ensure all materials ordered comply with project specifications and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with site supervisors and project managers for daily material requirements.
  • Maintain and update approved vendor/supplier list.
  • Monitor delivery schedules and follow up to ensure timely arrival of goods.
  • Handle procurement for site tools, machinery, safety equipment, and office supplies when required.

B. Documentation & Record

  • Maintain proper filing and documentation of purchase requisitions, PO, invoices, and delivery orders.
  • Prepare monthly purchasing reports (usage, cost analysis, supplier performance).
  • Verify supplier invoices and coordinate with Accounts Department for payment processing.
  • Keep record of project material consumption and maintain updated stock list.

C. Cost Control & Compliance

  • Assist management in controlling material cost according to project budget.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company SOP and approval limits.
  • Evaluate supplier performance regularly in terms of price, quality, and reliability.
  • Report any discrepancies, overcharge, or delivery issues to management immediately.

D. Coordination & Communication

  • Liaise closely with Site Supervisors, Project Engineers, and HQ for purchasing requests.
  • Communicate with suppliers for quotation, delivery, and warranty claims.
  • Support site team for urgent material needs or last-minute adjustments.
  • Attend internal meetings when required and provide procurement updates.

Skills & Requirements (Kemahiran & Kelayakan):

  • Minimum Diploma / Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • At least 1–2 years of working experience in construction purchasing (fresh graduates with exposure are encouraged to apply).
  • Good negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Able to work independently, multitask, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word.
  • Possess own transport and willing to travel to site if required.
