Key Responsibilities

Typical duties include:

  • Design, develop and implement automation solutions using RPA tools — analysing business processes, identifying automation opportunities, building workflow bots.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements and translate into automation designs.
  • Deploy, test and maintain automation solutions (including unit testing, user-acceptance testing, production support, monitoring bot performance).
  • Document automation workflows, prepare technical documentation and user manuals.
  • Monitor live bots, troubleshoot issues, make improvements and ensure scalability, reliability, compliance (security/data privacy).

Technical Skills
  • Experience with RPA platforms/tools such as UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere.
  • Good programming/script skills: languages like C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, VB.NET etc.
  • Database/SQL knowledge; working with RDBMS, possibly APIs/ web services (REST/SOAP).
  • BPM/process analysis: ability to understand business workflows, identify improvement opportunities, map processes.
  • Testing and deployment in different environments; ability to support operations post-go-live.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology/Systems, Software Engineering or a related field.
  • Several years of hands-on experience in RPA/automation development (ranging from 3–5 years or more depending on level).
  • Certifications in RPA technologies (e.g., UiPath Advanced Developer) are often preferred.
Soft Skills & Others
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging skills.
  • Good communication (both written and verbal), ability to work in teams and liaise with business/technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects, adaptability, and willingness to learn.
