Role Overview
The position is responsible and accountable to achieve the sales, distribution and merchandising objectives through a team of Sales Representatives and Merchandisers. Responsible at route level for ensuring brand/pack availability at the outlets, communicating promotions, trade schemes, market development, collection of accounts receivables and contact point between company and outlets.
Key Responsibilities
Market Visits
- Regularly visit and develop selected top outlets.
Meeting Volume Targets
- Coordinate and achieve daily sales objectives for assigned routes, outlets, and areas.
- Achieve category/product-wise volume targets.
- Meet productivity norms (% outlets billed/Range selling).
- Ensure timely payment collection as per set terms.
RED Action to Optimize RED Score
- Foster a RED action culture in daily engagement with outlets.
- Ensure proper activation according to RED standards.
People Management (CCRM and Sales Merchandiser Team)
- Originate team route plans, gaining approval from the Zone Sales Manager, and optimize coverage cost-effectively.
- Plan, monitor, and implement the placement of company assets in the market (Coolers, Racks, etc.).
- Implement sales, promotional, merchandising, and advertising programs for specified routes, areas, and outlets.
- Monitor adherence to credit policies and outstanding accounts.
- Ensure good warehouse practices at outlets.
- Accountable for capability building through direct involvement in training and learning interventions.
- Act as a liaison between the Sales Merchandisers Team and CCRM.
Reporting
- Submit standard reports as per specified frequency.
- Collect market information regularly for continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Management
- Build strong business relationships with customers, adding value to their business.
- Develop a good understanding of customer business and financials.
- Ensure all internal and external correspondence aligns with company requirements.
- Maintain a safe and healthy working environment, complying with legal regulations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements through educational opportunities and professional networks.
- Contribute to team efforts by achieving related results as needed.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum STPM/Diploma/Degree-A level.
- Preferably 2-5 years' experience relevant experience in FMCG or any other related field.
- Effective communication skills in English and Bahasa Melayu.
- Good supervisory and coaching skills.
- Strong customer collaboration skill and able to build effective relationships with trade.
- 2 Sales Team Leader vacancies available in Selangor; based in Rawang and Klang respectively.
