Governance

  • Oversee the overall governance of Quality Assurance (QA) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
  • Define, implement, and maintain a standardized Testing Operating Model across all projects.
  • Ensure alignment with project timelines and delivery schedules.
  • Deploy and manage appropriate testing frameworks in accordance with testing mandates.
  • Guarantee comprehensive requirement traceability within the test scope.

Operational Responsibilities:

Test Planning and Management

  • Develop comprehensive Test Strategies tailored to each project.
  • Manage QA resource demand and supply to meet project needs.
  • Provide accurate estimations for both QA and UAT phases.
  • Design and document QA and UAT Test Plans, including detailed test matrices and cycle schedules.
  • Identify key dependencies and engage stakeholders to mitigate risks impacting system quality.
  • Clearly define the scope of testing in the context of each project, release, or delivery.
  • Plan, deploy, and oversee the testing efforts for all engagements/releases.
  • Coordinate hardware and software requirements necessary for test environment setup.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and intra-project testing efforts.
  • Communicate test planning decisions effectively to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Capture and report any changes in a consistent and accurate manner.
  • Provide support for business readiness activities and live environment provisioning.
  • Apply QA processes effectively across multiple Business Units (BUs).

Test Execution Management

  • Oversee the execution of test plans, test cycles, and test matrices.
  • Assign and manage tasks for QA and UAT resources.
  • Coordinate UAT efforts and deliver regular progress reports to Program/Project Managers and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate the development and consolidation of test scenarios, test cases, and test data in alignment with business processes

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Insurance, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Minimum of 7 years of industry experience within the Life and General Insurance (GI) sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience as a core team member in system implementation projects.
  • Proven track record of leading Quality Assurance (QA) activities within project environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Life Asia and Group Asia applications is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of test management methodologies, tools, processes, and best practices.
  • Extensive experience managing test cycles, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Proficient in business and financial analysis, including business case development.
  • Expertise in requirements traceability, as well as in the design and development of test scenarios and test scripts.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Self-driven with proven leadership in guiding teams toward efficient and high-quality deliverables.
  • Experience or exposure to test automation is an advantage.
